At The Studio, the philosophy is simple: intentional movement delivered in a calm, supportive environment — supporting strength, balance, and longevity at every stage of life for every body. Class sizes are intentionally kept small, creating space for individual attention and a more personalised experience.
The Studio was founded by Joanna, whose approach is shaped by both professional expertise and long-standing personal practice.
With a PhD in Medicine and background in health behaviour research, she brings a deep understanding of the relationship between movement, physical health, and mental wellbeing — grounded in over 20 years of dedicated practice in yoga and Pilates.
A certified Pilates and yoga teacher, Joanna is trained in Mat Pilates, Dynamic Reformer, and Pre & Postnatal Reformer, alongside 500-hour Vinyasa yoga teacher training. She also holds additional certifications in Yin, Restorative, and Pre & Postnatal yoga, as well as Barre training.
